I believe that everyone's life is a story of their own. People may share similarities with others, but there is always at least some thing that makes their life unique to them. I strive to meet each client where they are and help them grow and reach their goals. Hope, humor, faith, and understanding are brought to each session to meet each client's needs, integrating biblical principles for those that are open.
I have spent many years working in Christian ministry areas working with children, teens, and adults, with being ordained as Minister in February 2000. I feel that by beginning to offer counseling services through Starting Point in 2015, this is an extension of my ongoing involvement in ministry in helping people. Starting Point services are available to non-Christians as well as Christians.
I have been employed in several different industries outside of ministry. I have a wealth of life experiences and am able to relate to people with different backgrounds and life situations. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Walden University in 2011 and my Master of Science in Community Psychology in 2015 from Martin University. Additionally, I received my Ph.D. in Christian Counseling with a Specialization in Addiction Counseling in 2017 from Newburgh Theological Seminary. Currently I am studying Applied Sports Psychology in working with athletes and coaches.
